Solar mounting approaches: ballasted vs. structure solar panel mounts

If you have a flat roof, your installer will consider two differing approaches to solar racking options. The biggest question is how many penetrations you want to allow to your roof when you install your solar panels on your home or business. The major problem with ballast racking systems is that they add a lot of weight to your roof.
